With Worldline Tap on Mobile, DCC and our battery instructions for your terminals, merchants are well-prepared
Especially in the summer season, long queues form at the checkout. Fancy shortening the wait for customers? With the Tap on Mobile app, merchants can now easily accept contactless payments with their Android smartphone or tablet.
Tap on Mobile supports the most popular debit and credit cards (Mastercard, Debit Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit and V PAY). Payment can also be made with smartwatches, other wearables or e-wallets – such as Apple Pay. Amounts up to the contactless limit of CHF 80 are processed without entering a PIN. For higher amounts, the PIN is requested. The payment receipt can be sent by e-mail or shared via QR code scan if desired.
Merchants can make it easier for international customers to pay in their shop. With the free Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), their terminal or online shop automatically recognises foreign cards and immediately offers automatic conversion into the home currency at the current exchange rate.
Summer is just around the corner; gardens and outdoor areas at pubs are opening up, and terminals are coming back into use outside with increasing frequency. Hot temperatures can affect the performance of terminals as the battery can overheat - leading to charging problems.
