Battery-related information for yoximo terminals

Ready for the summer heat wave

Using one of our mobile yoximo terminals? We recommend handling the battery with care in order to optimize your terminal’s performance – remember: the terminal’s service life also depends on how well you take care of the battery.

Summer heat waves can result in premature terminal wear, as the battery will overheat if the temperature gets too high. Overheating of the battery leads to charging problems. A temperature sensor automatically stops the charging process when the battery’s temperature exceeds 40 °C.

You can use our tips and tricks to extend battery life:

  • Make sure you charge the battery in a room whose temperature does not exceed 40 °C. Never expose your terminal to extreme temperatures (the payment terminal should thus not be exposed to any heat source or sunlight for longer durations).
  • Avoid letting the battery fully discharge. The terminal will wear out faster if you recharge it once it is already fully discharged.
  • Store your terminal in a cool place when not in use.
  • Use the energy-saving standby mode: we have developed a setting option that automatically switches the terminal to standby mode if configured accordingly. You can easily end this mode by pressing the yellow “Corr./On” key.

Should you notice any performance problems with your yoximo terminal, please check the battery visually. If the battery shows sign of physical damage (e.g. if it looks inflated), please contact our customer service without delay.
