Worldline, the leading provider of electronic payment solutions, has entered a partnership with Happy Pack, a creator and developer of software dedicated to automatic dispatch and collection of courier parcels. Under the cooperation, Worldline will equip parcel collection and delivery points with its innovative SoftPos payment terminals. Thanks to the partnership with Worldline, Happy Pack will receive Worldline’s innovative SoftPos terminals to handle mobile and contactless payments for picking up and dropping off courier shipments. The SoftPos (Software Point of Sale) payment application will be installed on Sunmi V2S smart mobile terminals, which is a complete solution that replaces a computer, code scanner, printer and payment terminal. The solution developed under the partnership between Worldline and Happy Pack provides added value to merchants who with SoftPos will be able to not only offer a convenient and quick cashless payment method to their customers and but also benefit from lower costs of collecting and dispatching parcels. Happy Pack is the developer and provider of e-happy.pack – its proprietary software that automates the process of courier delivery and collection in the network of Pick-Up Drop-Off (PUDO) points run by affiliated partners. The COVID-19 pandemic, which has been ongoing since 2020, has further accelerated the already booming e-commerce industry by giving yet another boost to the growing demand for courier services. The e-happy.pack software is doing a great job of helping to meet that demand. Across Europe, the number of new PUDO points is constantly rising in response to the huge needs of the e-commerce industry. “Worldline, as the leader in payment services, is committed to fostering innovation. This makes us all the more pleased to launch cooperation with such a reputable company as Happy Pack. The fact that companies such as Happy Pack see Worldline as a proven partner that will provide the highest quality services in the area of electronic payments reassures us that we have taken the right direction,” says Artur Żymańczyk, Country Manager Poland Worldline. “We have selected Worldline’s SoftPost application from among all the other solutions available on the Polish market. We are happy to start cooperation with Worldline as we can now recommend our partners a secure and innovative payment solution that will help them effectively grow their business,” says Rafał Moryto, CEO Happy Pack. The main goal of the cooperation between Happy Pack and Worldline is to offer a safe and modern payment method for sending and collecting courier shipments, which will also benefit local businesses. It is also key that the service offered by Happy Pack is friendly not only to young people, but also to seniors who are not so adept at using modern technologies. The Polish courier services market is one of the fastest growing in Europe – in 2020 only, it reached a volume of ca. 814 million shipments, generating revenues of PLN 10.7 billion. According to experts’ estimates, by the end of 2023 the parcel shipping volume will rise by 66%, with revenues totaling PLN 16.2 billion. Happy Pack is the developer and provider of proprietary e-happy.pack software that automates the process of dispatching and collecting courier shipments at points run by affiliated partners. In 2020, the company started building a network of Happy Pack parcel points. By the end of 2021, it had launched 7 own PUDO (PickUp Drop Off) points, where customers can dispatch and collect parcels, purchase packing articles, and print e.g. labels. At the time, Happy Pack had already handled more than 110,000 shipments, with 18,000 shipments processed in December 2021 alone. The company saw the need to develop a platform to integrate multiple courier companies using a single device, without investing in opening their own points. This is how the e-happy.pack software for partner points was developed. The system helps manage the logistics process of dispatching and collecting parcels on the courier-customer line and develop the network, whilst optimizing costs.
