Contactless payment up to EUR 50

According to the World Health Organisation, avoiding cash payment helps to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. In particular, contactless payment reduces physical contact points during shopping. That’s why, in agreement with the international card organizations Visa and Mastercard, Worldline/SIX Payment Services has changed the limit for entering the PIN code for contactless payments in Austria. The limit has temporarily increased from EUR 25 to EUR 50 starting on 1 April 2020.
