Contactless payment up to CHF 80

According to the World Health Organisation, avoiding cash payment helps to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. In particular, contactless payment reduces physical contact points during shopping. That’s why, in agreement with the international card organizations Visa and Mastercard, Worldline/SIX Payment Services has changed the limit for entering the PIN code for contactless payments in Switzerland. The limit has increased from CHF 40 to CHF 80 starting on 16 April 2020 at the latest.
