From this date forward, all payments on terminals or e-commerce solutions are being processed in euros. Below, you can find the answers to the frequently asked questions that Worldline regularly updated during the entire transition period in order to ensure a simple and efficient transition for its clients and facilitate the entire process. The terminal has not reinitialised automatically. What should I do? Should reinitialisation be performed automatically on Saferpay terminals / e-commerce solutions? Yes, it should have been performed automatically. No manual action was required. Saferpay stopped supporting kuna as a transaction currency at 23:59 on 31st December 2022 and was timely updated (before 1st January 2023) to enable manual refunds. From 17th January 2023 on, return procedure will be simplified using our new features, as described here: https://docs.saferpay.com/ccc/. Settlements, refunds, debts, billings, fees Search 1. What is the exchange rate of kuna to euro since 1st January 2023? Exchange rate is fixed by the National Bank of Croatia and amounts to 1.00 euro = 7.53450 kuna with the effective date of 1st January 2023. 2. When fixed exchange rate (fixed by the National Bank of Croatia) is applied? Fixed exchange/conversion rate is used to: convert kuna balance on euro settlement account (IBAN remain same) as of 1st January 2023; post adjustments between kuna and euro accounts (balance transfer) as of 1st January 2023; convert kuna balance on the blocked account after 1st January 2023 3. Is it necessary to submit a new business account number (IBAN)? No, the account number remains the same. It is your business bank's responsibility to convert the account from kuna to euro. 4. When was the last settlement made in kuna? The last settlements in Croatian kuna were carried out in the period from 27th to 28th December 2022, in accordance with the procedures below: 27th December 2022 – last settlements in kuna for foreign payments for transactions before (and including) 26th December 2022. The same applied to clients with kuna accounts for settlements outside Croatia. 28th December 2022 – last settlements in kuna for domestic payments for transactions before (and including) 27th December 2022. 5. How settlement are done after 1st January 2023 for active accounts in euros before 31st December 2022 (included)? After 1st January 2023, all Euro settlement accounts active before 31st December 2022 were deactivated. Since 1st January 2023, active kuna settlement accounts are converted to euro settlement accounts. 6. What happened to DCC after 1st January 2023? Since 20th December 2022, DCC no longer offers kuna as a currency. 7. How refunds are handled since 1st January 2023 for retail transactions made in kuna before 31st December 2022 (included)? In the case of refunds requested after 1st January 2023 for purchases made before 31st December 2022 (included), the euro equivalent should be refunded. Fixed exchange rate should be used: 1.00 euro = 7.53450 kuna. This applies for face-to-face and online transactions. 8. How “referenced refunds” are handled since 1st January 2023 in Saferpay? «Referenced refunds» in Saferpay are allowed to be executed in euro even if the original transaction was done with kuna before 1st January 2023. To perform «referenced refund» in euro, merchants have to calculate the amount using the fix rate HRK/EUR 7.53450. For further information and instructions, please refer to https://docs.saferpay.com/ccc. 9. What happened to the outstanding debts/negative balances/blocked balances from 2022 after 1st January 2023? All open debts/blocked balances in 2022 are automatically recalculated at a fixed conversion rate of 1.00 euro = 7.53450 kuna. 10. How pre-authorisations are handled? *Pre-authorisations: In case pre-authorisations were done in HRK, there is no possibility to automatically close in HRK. In this case, please perform cancellation of pre-authorisation over the myPortal functionality Reservations or via the following link https://www.six-payment-services.com/dam/download/forms/116019402_FO_Hospitality_Pre_Authorization_Cancellation_CHE_EULUX_EN_aktiv.pdf? and proceed with the new Purchase or pre-authorization in EUR. In case the second pre-authorisation in Euro shouldn’t be successful due to insufficient funds in the customer’s bank accounts, please contact our customer service ( https://www.six-payment-services.com/en/shared/contacts/customer-care/customer-care-cro.html ) to capture the pre-authorisation manually. We would like to highlight that reversing the funds may take up to 5 working days at the Card Holder’s bank (Issuing Bank). myPortal, reports 1. What happened to the login data for accessing myPortal, and how does the data appear on the portal since 1st January 2023? Your login data are remain the same. After 1st January 2023, the transactions made in euro/EUR are shown in euro/EUR in myPotal. The history of the last nine months for transactions in kuna/HRK are also available in myPortal. 2. Do my reports contain kuna transactions since 1st January 2023? The report with nine months of historical kuna transactions are available after 1st January 2023. Clients receive two statements: statement for kuna settlement account containing individual transactions in kuna currency made before 1st January 2023 with financial adjustment (balance transfer debit) statement for euro settlement account containing individual transactions (all currencies) accumulated till statement’s generation time with the first transaction being a financial adjustment (balance transfer credit).
